My goodness it’s been a tough year
and for none more so than the many families who lost a loved one. Whether they died of Covid or something else everyone who experienced a loss was affected by the ever changing guidelines and restrictions governing funerals. I miss the pre-March 2020 ceremonies greatly. The services where 150 people or more would cram into the chapel and share tributes and stories about their friend, colleague or family member. You can’t
overestimate the comfort it would bring to the close family when the chapel swelled with a congregation of well wishing supportive friends.
“Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away?”
In time we will be able to get together in greater numbers to honour, remember and celebrate those we have lost over this past terrible year.
