Planning for the future.

There’s no doubt that booking a funeral at the point when your loved one has very recently passed and you and your family are not in the best frame of mind could be a recipe for disaster. With limited time and not wishing to disrespect your loved one’s memory you feel there is no choice but agree and purchase the funeral package that you are sold, by probably the first and only undertaker you visited.

The current average cost of a funeral in the UK today is over £4,000 and rising. In truth if you had the luxury of time and were able to focus more clearly you could bring that cost down significantly & still have a very decent send off. With the money you save, you could celebrate, commemorate and honour their life in other ways. The secret to achieving this is quite simple really, do not leave making your funeral choices till after you’ve died. If you do, it is likely that your funeral will cost your family far more than you’d ever want them to pay.

I’ve recently been looking into funeral plans as it seems to be a good way to alleviate the burden for those left behind making the arrangements. The important thing to bear in mind is that making these decisions in advance means that you have the opportunity to compare prices and make the choices that are right for you. It takes the burden of making those decisions and financing the costs away from your loved ones.
